Summary:After 18 months of operation for certain subcritical units,the turbulator of absorbing tower was corroded and leaked. By means of macroscopic analysis,material composition analysis,microstructure analysis,corrosion product composition analysis and fracture morphology analysis,the cause of corrosion and leakage was analyzed. Results showed that two types of corrosion occurred in the turbulator of absorbing tower: crevice corrosion in the TP304 stainless steel part,and stress corrosion in the weld-seam of TP316L stainless steel part. Besides,the countermeasure was proposed to avoid such kinds of damage in the future.
