Description
Summary:The incidence of gynecologic malignancies remains persistently high, with current treatment primarily focusing on tumorresection under general anesthesia. Propofol is widely used for induction and maintenance of general anesthesia. It significantly impactsthe prognosis of patients with gynecologic malignancies, yet its specific mechanisms are not well understood. Current research indicatesthat propofol may improve the prognosis of gynecologic malignancies through mechanisms such as modulation of cell structure, autophagy, sensitivity to chemotherapy,as well as microRNA(miRNA),circular RNA(circRNA),long non⁃coding RNA(lncRNA),Yes ⁃ associated protein(YAP)pathways, and autoimmune system. Therefore, this review summarizes the effects of propofol on theprognosis of patients with gynecologic malignancies, focusing on its regulation of cell structure, autophagy, sensitivity to chemotherapy, and mechanisms involving miRNA,circRNA,lncRNAs,and YAP pathways.
