En la actualidad, pareciera que el individuo actúa por inercia, mecanizado y enajenado de su realidad, sin reflexionar sobre sí mismo, dejándose llevar por las corrientes de pensamiento que permean su conciencia; por ello, en esta comunicación se realiza un breve recorrido histórico por las prácticas educativas, enfatizando en los griegos; así mismo, se analiza la importancia de una práctica pedagógica reflexiva, crítica y constructiva en el nivel superior, donde el papel del profesor es determinante para facilitar la toma de conciencia del educando; de igual manera, se hace la diferencia entre práctica educativa y práctica pedagógica, eje fundamental de este ensayo, y se destacan las características de la práctica pedagógica del siglo XXI muy ligada a la sociedad del conocimiento. Este trabajo culmina con una breve propuesta de lo que consideramos debiera modificarse para que la práctica pedagógica sea reflexiva, critica y constructiva.
Nowadays we are living in a globalizing world where every person is performing out of habit, mechanized land out of his/her mind. People do not think about themselves and they are taking different thinking trends which they are aware of. From these backgrounds, a brief historical journey through the educational activities is done, emphasizing the greek ones. As well as, the importance of a reflective, critic and constructive pedagogical practice is analyzed in higher education. The role of the University Professor is determining in order to provide the students awareness. In addition, the difference between educational and pedagogical practice is done, an important part of this essay is. Century XXI pedagogic practice features are highlighted which is tied up with knowledge society. This Work finishes with a brief proposal about changing pedagogical practices in order to be reflecting, critic and constructive.
