Summary:Based on CAD the geometric constraint and dimension driving techniques,a dynamics analysis approach for planar mechanism is presented.By using the geometric-constraint,dimension-constraint,dimension equation-constraint,and dimension driving in CAD software,some type of simulation planar mechanisms are created.The driving dimension of input linkage is given and modified,and the driven dimensions of output linkage are changed automatically.Based on actual work load and mechanism characteristics,simulation model for mechanical analysis is constructed,the load of hinge point and input-driven is found critical load data curve is attained by using the record function of CAD software.The results of computer simulation and fit equation prove that the geometric constraint and dimension driving mechanism simulation approach has not only fairly quick and straightforward,but also advantages of accuracy and repeatability.
