Summary:For several months, the overseas territories have been marked by incidents of urban violence, whether in Martinique, New Caledonia, or Guadeloupe. Focusing on the case of the Pointe-à-Pitre metropolitan area in Guadeloupe, this paper aims to shed light on the characteristics of this urban violence. Through an analysis of the spatial framework, the objective is to distinguish between the generic forms of violence and those specific to the Guadeloupean territory.
