| Summary: | The Lopo Fernandes Pacheco gothic tomb, located inside Lisbon’s Cathedral in S. Cosme e S. Damião Chapel, has been attracted the attention of many authors. Nevertheless few things are known about this man, who fills a prominence position in the D. Afonso IV royal’s court (1325-1357). The present work looks to draw the course followed by this royal vassal without neglecting the studies dedicated to the tomb itself. The magnificence of this funerary monument reveals the importance of this man that could be considered the must important personage under the reign of D. Afonso IV. |
