| Summary: | The subject of the analysis in the article is the proceedings pending on an appeal against the decision to suspend an academic teacher from performing their duties under Art. 302 sec. 1 of the Law on Higher Education and Science Act of 20 July 2018 (Dz.U. 2024, item 1571 consolidated text as amended). Along with the reform of higher education, the legislator decided to make a significant change in the regulation of the procedure for filing an appeal against the rector’s decision on the suspension of an academic teacher from performing their duties. This results in a problematic issue related to regulating and specifying the nature of the pending proceedings before the labor court and indicating in accordance with which procedure they should be conducted. The considerations presented here constitute an attempt to assess the comprehensiveness of the proceedings pending before the labour court in the case of an appeal against the rector’s decision to suspend an academic teacher from his duties.
