description Crisis management is experiencing global expansion. Many countries, including Jordan, have witnessed a sharp increase in crisis management education in recent years. This paper presents an overview of crisis and disaster management education within Jordanian universities and colleges. This research has two primary objectives: first, to explore the crisis management education available in Jordan, addressing its development, challenges and opportunities; and second, to analyze its alignment with the practical requirements of different industries. Research data were collected through interviews and documentation. Semi-structured interviews were carried out with 15 crisis management educators, legislators, and practitioners in Jordan serving as the primary method, complemented by field notes and document analysis. The data were analyzed using thematic and content analyses. The findings indicate that crisis management education in Jordan has progressed markedly in a brief timeframe. In comparison to developed nations, it remains in its early stages. This study identified the disparity between crisis management education provided by Jordanian universities and the actual requirements in the field. This research addresses the social and cultural barriers to the advancement of crisis management education in Jordan.
