Summary:Based on principle of preparing ultrafine rubber powder by cutting rubber particles with a micro-particle cutting tool disc, combined with defects of ordinary structure screw head in conveying rubber particles, a special structure screw head and Archimedes curve channel were designed, and the principle of conveying rubber particles in the feed channel was studied. The results showed that the specially designed screw head reduced the resistance of rubber particles entering the Archimedes curve inlet, improved material conveying efficiency, and avoided problems such as dead material and frictional heat accumulation of rubber particles at the screw head. The designed Archimedes curve channel utilized the power of cutting tools to pull rubber particles, making the particle flow smoother and improving the production efficiency of rubber powder. Theoretical calculations proved that it was feasible to convey rubber particles using Archimedes curve channel.
