| Summary: | The article discusses the implementation of recycled water supply in production facilities for cooling substances and plant components. Cooling towers are used to cool the recycled water. In this paper, a classical countercurrent installation with an overhead fan is considered as an object of control. The purpose of the facility's operation is to reduce the temperature of the process water to the required values by blowing a stream of atmospheric air and evaporating part of the liquid. Based on the purpose of operation, the main condition variable is the temperature of the cooled water at the outlet of the cooling tower storage pool. In modern publications on this topic, it is noted that it is necessary to take into account various disturbing influences. Since most of them can be measured and taken into account when calculating the control effect, it was proposed to implement a control system with the principle of combined control.
