| Summary: | Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), is an umbrella term for a group of conditions that cause swelling and inflammation of the tissues in the digestive tract. The most common types of IBD include ulcerative colitis and Crohn's disease. Malnutrition is a common complication of IBD. Effective nutrition strategies can improve the malnutrition status and improve the quality of life of patients with IBD. This article reviews the current status, theoretical basis, evaluation indicators, influencing factors, and management of nutritional strategies for patients with IBD, aiming to lay a solid theoretical and practical foundation for the construction of standardized and individualized nutritional management plans and the implementation of targeted health education in clinical practice.
