The bay of Bom Abrigo island establish itself in a deposit site for excellence, formed by social utilization in this great natural anchorage since beginning of the XVI century. This article objectifies to explain the archaeological research that was developed in that space, that it is inserted in the historical-marine context of the south coast of the State of São Paulo.
