description The piecewise quadratic fuzzy number (PQFN) can signify uncertain information that exists in scientific, technological, and engineering fields. Hence, it is a useful tool for describing information in scheduling problems. This study examines structured n-job flow shop scheduling with fuzzy piecewise quadratic processing times and three machines. Close interval approximation of PQFNs is also offered as one of the most effective approximate intervals. Furthermore, the leasing cost of equipment is minimized with the use of a fuzzy style and an inventive algorithm. To demonstrate how the proposed framework can be used, a numerical illustration is provided.
