| Summary: | Background. The purpose of the study is to analize the historical aspects of the dynamics of industrial establishments in Northern Kyrgyzstan in the context of the devel-opment of a new territory as a national outskirts of the Przhevalsky and Pishpek districts of the Semirechye region in the late 19th – early 20th centuries. Materials and methods. The study is based on the data of the “Surveys of the Semirechye Region” from 1882 to 1900, 1906 and 1913. Results. The time frame was determined by the administrative status of the Semirechye region of the Turkestan Governorate-General: from 1882 to 1899 it was part of the Steppe Governorate-General, and 1906 marked the active phase of peasant resettlement. The year 1913 is considered as a milestone of more than half a century of Northern Kyr-gyzstan being a part of Russia as a national outskirts, in this context the development of the manufacturing industry associated with livestock, crop and mining industries is noted. The study analyzes the process of formation of the economic landscape of the region as a result of the implementation of the economic policy of the Russian Empire on the development of a new national outskirts. In conclusion, the need to take into account the accumulated his-torical experience for the modern development of entrepreneurship in the agricultural sector of the republics is emphasized. Conclusions. The current state of entrepreneurship and in-dustry in Kyrgyzstan should be viewed through the prism of the historical experience of the pre-revolutionary period, which allows us to identify the foundations of market transfor-mation and emphasizes the need to take into account the accumulated historical experience for the effective development of entrepreneurship, especially in the agricultural sector of the republic. |
