Summary:The article defines the basics of theorizing the possibilities of using professional support for the individual in the system of continuous education The basics of theorization of the concept of «professional support of a person» in classical pedagogy (broad, narrow, local meanings) and innovative pedagogy (system-activity, dialectical-synergetic, adaptive-productive, creative-productive meanings) are highlighted. The models of professional support of the individual in the system of continuous education have been determined. The functions ofprofessional support of the individual in the system of continuous education are highlighted. Ideas ofprofessional support of an individual in the system of continuous education are theorized. The principles of professional support of the individual in the system of continuous education are grounded. The tendencies of the use ofprofessional support for the individual in the system of continuous education are revealed. The pedagogical conditions for ensuring the quality ofprofessional support for the individual in the system of continuous education have been clarified. The possibilities are generalized and the prospects for the use of professional support for the individual in the system of continuous education are constructed.
