description Rural credit is an important indicator for understanding the regional dynamics and structures of farming in Brazil. Five maps were created, showing the concentration of agricultural credit in the Center-South and the agricultural frontier of the Amazon and MATOPIBA, while also highlighting the opposite process, the deprivation of rural credit in the regions where the poorest family farming predominates: the inlands of the Nordeste and the northwest of the Amazon. Mapping the areas where rural credit is expanding has made it possible to identify the regions where Brazil's agricultural frontier is currently advancing.
