Description
Summary:Firstly, this paper aims to contextualize and characterize in a general way the epistolary corpus of Felisberto Hernández, and, secondly, to analyze a set of letters sent by the writer to Amalia Nieto between 1940 and 1941. Contemporaries of the writing of Por los tiempos de Clemente Colling and the abandonment of the life of an itinerant pianist, these letters constitute a nucleus that illuminates the transformation of Felisbertian life and work. In its writing it is possible to find the germ of, on the one hand, some of the fundamental procedures of his narrative and, on the other, some of the metaliterary reflections that will guide the course of his later work.
