| Summary: | This study aims to develop a learning tool—a mnemonic-based pocket book with Problem-Based Learning (PBL) evaluation—to help students better understand and retain complex biology concepts, especially those related to human transport and exchange systems. Employing a Research and Development (R&D) method with the 4D development model, the study was conducted at MAN 1 Musi Banyuasin with a small group of 6 students and a larger group of 28 students in grade XI. Both qualitative and quantitative data were collected. Qualitative data came from expert and teacher validation surveys, while quantitative data were derived from validator and user scores. The results showed high feasibility and acceptance. Subject matter experts rated the pocket book at 86.66% (very suitable), media experts at 95% (very suitable), and Biology teachers at 94.99% (very good). Student responses were also positive, with small group trials scoring 86.38% and large group trials scoring 86.84%, both in the “very good” category. The study concludes that this pocket book is an effective educational medium, particularly in low-tech environments. It enhances student comprehension and recall, aligns with the goals of the Merdeka Curriculum, and supports the development of critical thinking and problem-solving skills through PBL integration.
