Summary:A Synchrotron is an Instrument used by a lot of scientific Communities and its Survey provides us with the opportunity to define the factors which allow so differing Communities to however find some unity as they are gathered together in a same organization. Our Study shows that this Unity firstly derives from the continuous attempts from each Community to maintain the Seeds of its own Identity by distinguishing itself on the physical and discursive levels. Finally, this is the instrument itself, through the numerous projects between members of various Communities that its working out and its development imply, which is the main unifying mean.
