| Summary: | The paired electrolysis using the divided cell was successfully developed. The divided cell, equipped with a three-way cock in the center, was designed. It allowed the solution to be transferred from the cathode to the anode by using balloon pressure, after electrolysis. As the model reaction, the iminium ion by cation pool method and the in situ formation of allylsilanes were electrochemically prepared, and the solution was mixed in the same cell from the cathode to the anode to give the desired product involving C–C bond formation. The present method is an alternative to the electrochemical flow cell of paired electrolysis. |
