Summary:The article discusses the main approaches to implementing the transition to renewable energy sources in the countries of Central Asia. The authors analyze the current situation with the use of traditional energy sources, as well as the advantages and prospects for using renewable resources. The article highlights the main problems and challenges associated with the transition to renewable sources, such as lack of funding, lack of necessary infrastructure and technology, etc. The advantages of using solar, wind and hydropower in the context of sustainable development, environmental security and energy inde5pendence are discussed. In conclusion, recommendations are offered for the successful implementation of energy policy based on renewable sources in Central Asia. The article is of interest to researchers, politicians, business representatives and anyone interested in energy and sustainable development in the Central Asian region.
