Description
Summary:Aging oil usually performs large viscosity and poor liquidity, which make it difficult to transport effectively. In this paper, the aging oil is treated by ultrasonic wave, and the viscosity reduction effect is evaluated by measuring the viscosity curve before and after the ultrasonic treatment. The effects of treatment duration, ultrasonic power and vibration mode are investigated.The results show that the treatment duration and the ultrasonic power determine the viscosity reduction effect together. The viscosity reduction effect is more obvious for the radial vibration than that of longitudinal vibration.In addition, the low viscosity of aging oil caused by ultrasound can be kept for a long period, but the aging oil treated by ultrasound shows a poor thermal stability.
