Summary:This research object is the Porto Britânia School, one of the first public institution of Paraná far west, founded in 1938, in the lands of old Britânia farm. It is an historic and documental research of that school opening and was done by documents analyzes that describe the institution history. The history reconstitution of Porto Britânia creation allowed saying that it was a result of Federal Government project to disseminate primary education countrywide. The school localization at the border region indicates the implementation of government project to nationalize these Brazilian territory locations. Thus, it attended social political demands of that age. This research used documents available in Willy Barth Museum of Toledo city.
