Summary:This scientific article is aimed at depicting differences and similarities between arbitral proceedings and mediation in individual cases in the field of labour law (under Art. 1831–18315 of the Civil Procedure Code). It focuses on comparing both institutions from the point of view of legal grounds, the course as well as procedural consequences and substantive law implications. Furthermore, the article’s goal is to demonstrate which of the above‑mentioned institutions is a less formalised method for an employee and an employer in individual labour law cases.
