| Summary: | This article presents the different tools, techniques, and methods for improving efficiency and productivity in organizations. A rational, qualitative, descriptive analysis was carried out through an exhaustive review of scientific articles from the Scopus database, spanning the years 2015 to 2020. A total of 526 articles were found. After reviewing the abstract of each article and thoroughly reading its content, the final selection was made to 33 articles. A final selection of 25 articles was made, whose results directly respond to the research questions formulated, using the following selection criteria: 10 most cited articles, 10 most recent publications, and 5 most cited reviews. The results obtained showed that the use of information technologies in a company's operations and management system positively influences increased efficiency, productivity, and added value compared to the competition. |
