Description
Summary:Five-membered heterocycles, like isoxazolines, are an important class of compounds of bioorganic and pharmacological importance. They have been treated as useful intermediates for the transformation of a large number of bioactive molecules. It was known that these classes of compounds have different biological activities. In this review, we discuss synthetic methods that are useful as building blocks for the synthesis of bioactive molecules and the medical application of isoxazoline systems. The large number of studies described in this summary shows a wide range of pharmacological activities of isoxazole derivatives. The pharmaceutical profiles of these new generations of isoxazoline would represent a fruitful matrix for the further development of the isoxazoline core, which could be a leading core for future developments to obtain safer and more effective therapies.
