description The most effective technical means of training operators of various types of professional activities are simulators. In recent years, simulators are increasingly used in industry, energy and other sectors of the economy, in particular, for training operators of nuclear power units, whose actions are characterized by the complexity of management tasks and greater responsibility for decisions made. In view of the above, the task of assessing the degree of its preparedness is relevant. To implement the assessment process, a specially constructed initiative matrix is proposed. It reflects the operator’s gradual change in the current state of discrete controls on the NPP operator console and its columns are compared with the columns of the reference matrix of discrete operator actions, taking into account “forbidden” combinations of control states. Based on this, it is proposed to use a three-level structure of control and evaluation: criteria-"task-mode-parameter". According to the adopted structure, the lower level of the hierarchy is a criterion for assessing the operator’s activity according to parameters, which in this case is the state of the controls in a separate mode. The average level characterizes the assessment of the operator’s actions based on the set of parameters of a particular mode. A comprehensive assessment (upper level) characterizes the assessment of the operator’s actions based on a set of modes. The proposed method for assessing and monitoring the activities of nuclear power plant operators during their training in educational and training complexes is universal and can be used in training operators of complex technological processes and mobile objects.
