Summary:This document describes the mustard collard (Brassica carinata L.), a leafy green vegetable related to collards and mustard, known for its milder flavor. Originally imported from Ethiopia in 1957, it has shown promising yields in North Florida. A variety named TAMU Tex Sel was released in Texas in 1972, producing up to 16 tons per acre in 53 days.
