Description
Summary:It is proposed to analyze the variations of the parameters of a patch-type antenna to which a dielectric material is added in different ways. The main novelty is finding working bands at frequencies lower than those of the antenna without additional material, maintaining, and even improving, the gain. This allows the development of smaller antennas than would be the case if a material with a high dielectric constant were not added. Being able to develop antennas with good performance and small dimensions is always of interest. The simulations of S parameters and the radiation pattern are carried out using an electromagnetic systems simulator. As a result, cases have been found where a decrease in the resonance frequency and an increase in the gain is observed with respect to the antenna without glycerin. On the other hand, resonances were found at considerably lower frequencies, but with greater losses.
