description Function and structure of the high-speed pantograph used on the CRH380CL were introduced. This paper put emphasis onthe kinematics of the pantograph. A motion model of the pantograph was built. The pantograph’s movement parameters were obtained fromthe simulation analysis, result comparison with experimental data and evaluation of the pantograph kinematics performance were also carriedout. The influence of the geometrical parameters on the pantograph movement was discussed, and the relationship between the evaluationparameters and the geometrical parameters was obtained from the discussion. The design and the debugging recommendations from thekinematics view were also presented.
