| Summary: | In the context of comprehensive implementation of rural revitalization, accelerating the promotion and application of vegetable IoT technologies is an important way to realize modernization of the vegetable industry and agricultural modernization. Based on the survey data of 499 vegetable farmers in Jiangxi Province, the Heckman two-stage model was used to empirically analyze factors influencing vegetable farmers' intentions to adopt IoT technologies and their investment decisions. The results showed that 44.7% of vegetable farmers adopted IoT technology, but the overall investment amount was low. In the process of IoT technology adoption intention decision-making, age, planting scale, risk attitude, understanding, perceived ease of use and benefit expectations had extremely significant influences; in the process of IoT technology investment decision-making, the education level, planting scale, whether to obtain credit loans, the distance from home to the largest market, risk attitude, ease of access to technical information, and return expectations had extremely significant effects. These results will help convert vegetable farmers' IoT technology adoption intentions into actual investment behavior. Based on these results, we provide actionable policy recommendations for the promotion and adoption of IoT technologies. |
