Summary:Based on the analysis of the usual used GL mechanical filter, three new types of mechanical filters were put forward. The two dimension cyclic symmetric geometry model was built, and combined SIMPLE algorithm with the Realizable k-ε turbulent model and the filter inner gas-solid two-phase flow field was simulated with the Lagrange method. The velocity and pressure distributions of different types were analyzed, and the resistance features and the filtering efficiency were compared. The simulation results show that the third type of the filter has fairly good performance than the common GL type.
