Description
Summary:The phenomenon of globalized migrations has changed the migratory patterns of women. Our analysis of the socioeconomic impact of the “marital cybermigration" of Cameroonian women is a perfect illustration of how this particular practice stems from the state of poverty and misery in which women in Central Africa find themselves. This study aims to answer the following questions: Why do Cameroonian women migrate? What migratory strategies do these women implement? Does this “marital cybermigration” serve the common interest or that of the families who remain in Cameroon?
