| description | The COVID-19 pandemic has severely affected public safety and social economy around the world, bringing great risks to people's travel and communication. During the peak of the pandemic, people in some areas had to accept home isolation, and residential buildings became the main space for people to study, work, and live. This paper analyzes the relevant needs of the residential building space environment in this context. Based on the historical residential unit prototype, it proposes measures such as expanding personal boundaries, maintaining interpersonal social boundaries, reducing room area, using foldable equipment, and using green plants in a variety of ways from three aspects: controlling health boundaries, mixing residential functions, and shaping the facade system. This paper discusses the translation of the healthy design prototype of residential space in the post-epidemic era. |
