description This study investigates the relationship between requirements management and project quality management, aiming to understand their combined impact on project success and provide insights for project teams and stakeholders. An empirical, cross-sectional study was conducted using an online survey to gather data from 510 respondents across various industries, projects, and experiences. Data analysis employed statistical techniques to reveal patterns and trends. The study found that the main types of requirements identified by respondents were business, stakeholder, and functional requirements. The importance of various requirements and sources varied across industries, team sizes, and budgets. Legal compliance, usability, and safety of use emerged as significant parameters for evaluating project outcomes. At the same time, deviations from schedule and budget, waiting time, and validation errors were crucial for assessing the quality of design processes. The study highlighted the importance of identifying and managing project requirements to ensure quality and success. This research contributes to the existing literature on requirements management and project quality management by comprehensively understanding the interplay between these two critical aspects of project success. The study offers new insights into industry-specific differences and the influence of factors such as team size, budget, and project nature on requirements management and quality management practices. The findings can help project managers, teams, and stakeholders improve their processes and increase stakeholder satisfaction.
