Summary:The paper examines the objectives and classifications of the objectives of forensic evaluation of environmental compartments for the purpose of assessing the damage caused by violation of environmental regulations, as well as the classification of the types of objects of forensic examination in such cases, and the concept of “environmental damage”. Special emphasis is placed on the need for standardization in the development of methodologies for this particular type of forensic inquiry.
