| Summary: | In this study, we intend to analyze the television series O Crime do Padre Amaro (RTP, 2023), an adaptation of the novel of the same name by Eça de Queirós. In particular, we will focus on the intermedial over-life of a homosexual character, Libaninho, firstly looking at his characterization and symbolism in the Queirosian novel and then at his television refiguration.
