| Summary: | This study was based on data found in the summaries book of the Brazilian Nursing Congress and from the Annals of the National Research Seminaries. Data provided a raising interest by Ceara’s nursing group in doing research and presenting their findings in scientific events. This study aimed to identify and to analyse the main categories for the improvement of the nursing research by the Ceara’s nurses. The document analyse was done under the thoughts taken from an historical perspective. The results showed that there is a relationship among important factors conducing to nursing research such as scholarship program, continued education program, income award, and pos graduationing programs.
