| Summary: | Surface tension of 62 wt% lithium bromide solution without and with several six-carbon, seven-carbon and eight carbon alcohol additives such as 4-methyl-2-pentanol, 2-ethyl-1-butanol, 1-hexanol, 2,4-dimethyl-3-pentanol, 4-heptanol, 2-heptanol, 1-heptanol, and 2EH were measured by Wilhelmy plate method. Compared with the experiment results of absorption of water vapor into lithium bromide solution using a simple stagnant pool absorber for the same number carbon's additives, it is shown that the lower the surface tension of aqueous LiBr solution with an additive, the better the effect of absorption enhancement by the corresponding additive. |
