Description
Summary:The purpose of this study is to measure the relationships established between the strength and stability of the lower limbs in adolescents from the eastern region of Romania. The study included 29 girls and 18 boys. Handgrip strength and explosive leg strength were measure. Stability was determined using the Y-Balance test. There is a relationship between the left limb index and countermovement jump with arm swing in boys (r = -0.49; p < 0.05). Both groups recorded significant correlations only between the Y coefficients of the lower limbs (r = 0.60; p < 0.001), and the Y coefficient of the left limb and the Y score (r = 0.62; p < 0.001). In the adolescents evaluated by us, strength and stability have non-significant relationships.
