Description
Summary:Paragangliomas (PGs) are neuroendocrine tumors typically occurring at the bifurcation of the carotid artery. This report presents a rare case of a non-symptomatic laryngeal paraganglioma (LP) in a 45-year-old woman who was already diagnosed with classic PG of the neck. Radical excision, the preferred treatment for LPs, can be preceded by catheter embolization to reduce blood loss. The LP was eventually surgically excised without embolization, and the patient had an uneventful two-year follow-up. The authors aim to raise awareness of the importance of interdisciplinary involvement in the diagnosis and management of LPs and highlight the role of interventional radiology.
