Cryptococcus neoformans infection typically presents as a meningoencephalitis; however, there is low incidence of cryptococcemia in the absence of central nervous system and other organ involvement. Here we present a case of a 26-year-old female patient with lupus nephritis on immunosuppressants found to have asymptomatic cryptococcemia in the absence of meningoencephalitis and other organ involvement. |
