Quest’opera storiografica si inserisce in un contesto culturale importantissimo come quello<br />della Venezia del Cinquecento, particolarmente effervescente nel campo dell’editoria con figure di<br />prim’ordine come Giolito e Ulloa. Il saggio si divide in tre momenti: il primo è costituito da una<br />breve introduzione sull’opera di Beuter e sulla traduzione di Ulloa; il secondo presenta la scheda<br />catalografica dell’esemplare conservato presso la Biblioteca Civica di Verona; infine il terzo espone<br />sinteticamente i contenuti della Cronaca.</span></p><p><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; font-family: "Times New Roman"; mso-fareast-font-family: "Times New Roman"; mso-ansi-language: IT; mso-fareast-language: IT; mso-bidi-language: AR-SA;" lang="IT"><br /><strong>Parole chiave:</strong> Pere Antoni Beuter, Alfonso de Ulloa, Gabriele Giolito de’ Ferrari, Cronaca generale<br />d’Hispagna et del regno di Valenza</span></p><p><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; font-family: "Times New Roman"; mso-fareast-font-family: "Times New Roman"; mso-ansi-language: IT; mso-fareast-language: IT; mso-bidi-language: AR-SA;" lang="IT"><br /><strong>Abstract:</strong> This essay is an approximation to the study of the the Italian edition of Pere Antoni<br />Beuter’s <em>Cronica generale d’Hispagna et del regno di Valenza</em>, translated by the Spaniard Alfonso de Ulloa and published in Venice in 1556 by Gabriele Giolito de’ Ferrari. This chronicle is part of a major<br />cultural context, that of the Venice of the XVI century, very active in the emerging publishing<br />business with personalities such as Giolito and Ulloa.
