Description
Summary:There are transverse, longitudinal, and torsional vibrations within the drill rod when drilling the roof bolt hole. And the vibration characteristics closely relate to the physical and mechanical properties, and the stress state of roof varies with the influence of mining depth and geological structure. It is significant to study the drill rod’s vibration characteristics when drilling under different stress states. Finite element software ABAQUS was used to simulate the drilling process under different stress states, and the vibration displacement and vibration response frequency of drill rod were obtained. It finds that the stress state has a tiny influence on the vibration response frequency, so the influence of stress state on vibration response frequency is wiped out. Consequently, the vibration response frequency is taken as sensitive index to distinguish rock type, which provides strong evidence to discover the hidden danger–weak stratum. Conclusively, it is significant for roof identification, roof support optimization, and roof falling prevention.
