Description
Summary:The article uses Paris Charles de Gaulle airport to show how France’s Confédération générale du travail (CGT) trade union invests new working spaces. To achieve this, the CGT has modified its perceptions and practices in such a way as to broaden the scope of its collective action. Airport activism of this kind has led to the creation of autonomous union spaces rooted in a very complex spatial organisation comprised of both material locations and ephemeral territories constructed by means of industrial action. This spatial analysis of new working spaces constitutes an attempt to show another face of modern unionism.
