Summary:Structure design of DDU’s software for South Africa’s double-voltage electric locomotive was introduced, which adopteda design philosophy of application program independent from protocol to make a further improvement on program portability and software development efficiency. Some important new functions were focused on including control nodes inversion, diesel locomotives control and HMI data synchronization logic at single driver’s cab. The functions were verified by field testing and application.
