The analysis underscores Russia’s strategic objectives in the region, encompassing both economic benefits and the pursuit of geopolitical influence. Furthermore, the study evaluates the implications of these activities for regional stability and European security. The article concludes with recommendations for Western states to mitigate Russian influence and bolster stability in the Sahel region.
