| description | With the widespread development of peripherally inserted central catheter (PICC), a variety of dressing are available for clinic. Selecting appropriate dressings, mastering the operation standard process and correctly evaluating replacement time of dressing can effectively reduce the complications after PICC catheterization, which includes accidental prolapse, ectopic, bleeding, puncture site infection, etc. This paper discussed the characteristics, indications, operation procedures, indications of different dressings in PICC and the different choices to be taken based on patients' own conditions. Therefore, it provides reference for the selection, usage and maintenance of clinical PICC catheterization dressings.
