| Summary: | Our societies will be greatly impacted by global change throughout the next decades. The building sector plays a key role in meeting the challenges posed by the environmental crises, whether in terms of adapting to extreme temperatures or mitigating greenhouse gases emissions. An analysis of the buildings in Lille University has highlighted the limitations of current thermal diagnosis tools. By neglecting the impact of the external environment on the thermal quality of buildings, the energy performance diagnosis as defined in French regulation seems to have become an obsolete tool. As a result, an iterative process of reflection led to the development of a new tool: the Bâti-score. As a result of field observations and data analysis, it highlights the state of health of buildings by including their immediate environment, and assesses their degree of adaptability to climate change. |
