Strength and wear analysis of CVT metal sheet at high speed
ObjectiveWhen the CVT is running at high speeds, the force relation between its components is very complex, and when the speed exceeds 8 000 r/min, the metal sheet is prone to wear, resulting in a sharp decrease in the service life of the CVT. Studying the strength and wear of metal strips and metal...

description | ObjectiveWhen the CVT is running at high speeds, the force relation between its components is very complex, and when the speed exceeds 8 000 r/min, the metal sheet is prone to wear, resulting in a sharp decrease in the service life of the CVT. Studying the strength and wear of metal strips and metal sheets under high-speed conditions is of great significance for the application and development of CVT in electric vehicles.MethodsThe mechanical model of the metal strip under high-speed conditions was established, and the influence of different speed ratios and rotational speeds on the stress and wear of metal sheets was simulated and analyzed by the Ansys Workbench software, and verified by simulation tests.ResultsThe results show that the stress of the metal sheet increases with the increase of the speed ratio at high speed, and the side wear of the metal sheet increases. |
